About our Organization
Project Surplus is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing waste and uplifting communities in need. By partnering with businesses and retailers across Atlanta, we rescue surplus goods that might otherwise go to waste and redirect them to non-profits making a meaningful impact.
Since our inception in 2023, we’ve partnered with various non-profit organizations, including Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Atlanta Mission, Mary Hall Freedom Village, Creating Connected Communities, CURE Childhood Cancer, Aurora Day Camps, Orbit Theatre, and Pebble Tossers.
Our mission and vision
At Project Surplus, our mission is to bridge the gap between retailers and redistribute their excess goods to local non-profits in the Atlanta area.
Our impact so far
Reducing waste while empowering non-profits to expand their reach and serve more individuals and families in Atlanta.
Together, we’re creating a ripple effect of kindness and sustainability.
Our Story
Project Surplus began with a simple realization: too many useful items go to waste while local organizations struggle to access the supplies they need. That reality hit home when a party store loaded my car with surplus goods—perfectly new usable items that were destined for the trash. In that moment, I saw an opportunity: what if there were a seamless way to connect excess inventory with those who need it most?
Now, Project Surplus is on a mission to bridge the gap between corporate surplus and community needs. By making it easier for businesses to give back, we’re reducing waste and ensuring valuable resources make a meaningful impact where they’re needed most.
Let’s work together to turn surplus GOODS for GOOD!
